The Genesis of Affrilachia beckons us to reach into our pass to raclaim the voices of those who came before us. The following list is not intended to be comprehensive for there are voices that we will never know but we are certain that the continued narrow definition of Kentucky poets has to bechallenged at every corner, blog, national regional and local authoritative website and at every holler and library that dares to define who is and isn't a poet.
Given this consideration we humbly present a list of poets as famous and unknown as any other poet who was borned, raised, claimed or moved to Kentucky and called this space home.
